My current hosting stack is a home VPS + Pangolin — see Home Server → Pangolin and Oracle Always Free Tier. This section is still accurate for Lightsail readers.
This section is for setting up Lightsail as an All-In-One Linux server that can host static content, APIs, and a database, running on Nginx.
Lightsail is the cheapest option starting at $3.5 / month
Much of the content in this section is applicable to an EC2 instance as well particularly if you are using a single instance without a load balancer and want HTTPS on your single instance.
