Setting up Lightsail¶

Create an Instance¶

Create a new Lightsail. Select Linux, then OS Only, select Amazon Linux 2. I like everything to be in US East 1.

Select a plan¶

We're going with the cheapest plan and just assigning the default name.

Assign a static IP address to the instance.¶

Opening Ports¶

We're going to open up ports for SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, and MySQL. They will all used the default port. Image Open Ports
